Working from Home vs an Office

I tend to agree with Beks Ali in this article from the BBC about working from home. I like the idea and, with the recent bout of snow it's tempting, but ultimately it's never as productive as being at an office in my experience.

Sure, you typically have less distractions, but I find that from a mindset perspective and especially from a communications perspective, having everyone in the same building is far more advantageous. Unless your work is completely solitary working from home has few benefits.

Bridging that gap is probably easier if you have a team to tech-capable people, you can have things like video conferences open all day, but even then, I find face-to-face communication to be far faster and more productive.
