Oxford college lifts quiz trophy

The big story here seems to be Gail Trimble, who scored two-thirds of the 1200 points her team accumulated on the way to winning a final. What no one seems to have pointed out is that:


  1. She's 26: what is she still doing at uni? Get a job. And by no means was she the oldest competitor, this is University Challenge, they need to impose an age limit of 23 I think.

  2. She's a 'Latin scholar' - what the hell is that and explain to me why that's a marketable skill? Three words: waste of money.
