Money, Money, Money

I watched the BBC documentary about Joyti De-Laurey, the secretary (well, personal assistant) who stole a total of £4.3 million from her bosses at Goldman Sachs. She wasn’t doing anything clever or complex, she just got into their confidence and these people let her run their lives, giving her access to their bank accounts and everything else. All she did was to write cheques to herself on their accounts, cheques for twenty, thirty, even sixty thousand pounds. She was caught days before jetting off to a new life in her £750,000 villa in Cyprus while awaiting delivery of a £150,000 powerboat and a £175,000 Aston Martin. My question is, how much money do you have to be earning not to notice a cheque for sixty grand to your secretary?
