Human Fat Could Provide An Infinite Supply of Stem Cells

Experience has taught me to greet announcements about stem cell research with a cool attitude, rarely do they live up to the hype or survive examination, but if they really can get stem cells from fat it's big news. Up until now there have been a lot of ethical issues as the majority of stem cells have come from embryos. Stem cells are cells which have the capacity to grow into any type of cell in the body, so could be used to grow replacement parts, help with medical conditions and countless other things. An easy supply of them is, therefore, essential, and offers the potential to overcome a major hurdle in this type of research.
