Hirst artwork put up for auction

You've got to laugh at an article that has this comment:

"...the artist says galleries can be snobby and elitist. "

alongside this:

"Among the work going under the hammer is a Golden Calf, placed in a gold case and priced between £8m and £12m.

"...Also on sale is a pickled shark that is estimated at between £3m and £4m. A case of used cigarette butts is expected to go for more than £1m. "

Sorry, selling items for £1m+ at auction makes it more available to the average person does it?
