Acres of Space

It was my birthday recently and so, in the usual hunt to fill the ever louder moans of Where's your birthday list? (I try and do mine at the first instance due to the unpleasantness that is caused when you don't supply it, trust me, my grandma, when not supplied with a list, is not someone with which to mess) I decided to add a couple of games.

I don't own a console, I play on a PC, and I haven't done that much of late, but having played demos of both Unreal Tournament 2004 and Far Cry I decided to stick them down.

Anyway, the lucky day arrived and I found that the games had been purchased. Not known for my patience, I managed to hang on until lunchtime until installing them.

Now, you can tell how long it is since I bought/installed a game because I thought a 1 Gb install was large, until I went to install these two beauties. Well, Far Cry was the smaller of the two at 3 Gb and UT2004 weighed in at a whopping 5.5 Gb! What is it with these people? Are the games really that large? Are the graphics that realistic? I didn't think so, but maybe I'm wrong.

But then it occurred to me, I must be getting old.
